Minna Gilligan is an artist based in Melbourne (Naarm) Australia, working primarily with painting, drawing and collage.

Her practice speaks of fleeting, personal encounters with the past and present, and manifests in a tumultuous reconciliation of both. Her works are playgrounds of colour, often referencing 1960s/1970s psychedelia and evoking a nostalgic romanticism.

Gilligan’s work has been shown at many national and international institutions including the National Gallery of Australia, The National Gallery of Victoria, and Heide Museum of Modern Art.

As an illustrator Gilligan has worked with clients such as Rookie Magazine, Rachel Antonoff, Elle Magazine (UK and Australia), Urban Outfitters, It’s Nice That, and many more. As a fine artist she is represented by Daine Singer. As an illustrator she is self represented.
