I love making collages. Recently, I created a series of artworks titled Wonder Years using childhood photographs submitted by members of the community. I enjoyed making these works so much that I wanted to open up the opportunity for others to commission an artwork of their own, featuring a photograph that holds special meaning to them.
***
A Wonder Years Commission transforms a treasured photograph into a one-of-a-kind collage and painting based artwork by Minna Gilligan.
Working from the provided vintage photographs, more recent snapshots or treasured keepsakes, I will create a vibrant collage world just for you filled with colour, painting and whimsy.
After purchasing a commission, I'll contact you directly via the email address used at checkout to discuss your photographs and the next steps. You're invited to provide 2–3 childhood photographs for consideration, and I'll select the image, or combination of images, that best suits the artwork. High-resolution digital images are welcome, and physical photographs can also be posted to me for professional scanning if preferred. Any original photographs will be carefully returned with the finished artwork.
Included with each commission:
• One signed A3 archival pigment print of the original artwork, posted directly to you
• Low-resolution digital image for personal sharing
Please allow approximately 4–6 weeks for completion once I have received your photographs. Free shipping within Australia. International shipping will be quoted separately.
Please note that composition, colour palette, collage elements and creative direction remain at my discretion. If you enjoy my work and trust my creative process, this commission is for you.
