Please contact me via my gallery Daine Singer

My name is Minna Gilligan and I am an artist based in Melbourne, Australia. I completed a Bachelor of Fine Art (First Class Honours) at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2012. I work primarily with painting, drawing and collage. My practice speaks largely of fleeting, personal encounters with the past and present, and manifests in tumultuous reconciliation of both. The works are eerie playgrounds of colour, usually inhabited by lone protagonists trapped in states of longing, sadness or exhalation.

While exhibiting widely in exhibitions locally, nationally and internationally, I also illustrate for Tavi Gevinson's online magazine ROOKIE and have worked for clients such as  Urban Outfitters, Nasty Gal and Asos. I am a member of Petra Collins' all female artist collective The Ardorous.

I am a represented artist at Daine Singer Gallery in Flinders Lane, Melbourne.
