Apparently tonight the moon is the closest it has been to earth in like heaps of years, and it's called a 'supermoon' because it's brighter and bigger than normal. It's very beautiful and as usual I am infinitely attracted to craning my neck awkwardly as an attempt to take in the entirely of the twinkling dome. I love it when the moon is bright enough to cast a shadow, when it gives out that cool white light and breaks up the velvet blackness.
