Orange ya glad? (not really)

I picked up my new canvases today and they're all ready to paint on. I also went to the paint shop to get three colours mixed up, because I want to use the colours that are in a Wonka Bar from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (1971). I got the yellow right but everything else is wrong and I'm annoyed. I though the brown would be darker and the orange a little pinker. That Wonka orange is so hard to match! It's sort of red but pink but orange and what's more it changes depending on what screen you view the movie on. WOE IS ME. Anyway all this confusion led me to purchasing the above platform shoes too which just so happen to be the exact colour of the orange in the paint tin which struck me as mockingly weird. I will have to go back to the hardware store tomorrow and match the colours again. Meanwhile tonight I think I'll watch a comfort movie 'Almost Famous'.

  2. Hey Minna, They are Harry Wragg Shoes?!!! I bought a pair last time i was in melbourne, except mine were black. BUT THEY BROKE WITHIN 10 MINUTES OF ME WALKING TO THE TRAIN! I realllly hope this doesnt happen to you aswell. I was so upset. they were so comfortable too :( I returned them though and the shop assistant in brunswick said i was the first to have this issue. so my luck. so sad.

  3. Oh there is quite the story about these shoes!!!! So like the other day I hunted ALL DAY because I convinced myself I was going to spend lots of money on a nice pair of shoes preferably platforms/'flatforms' (what they seem to be calling them these days) and was SO dissatisfied with all the shoes everywhere and started hating life and then I went into Harry Wragg and they were having a 50% off sale which was amazing for one then I saw these shoes and thought WOW they are what I want!! And THEN the saleswomen told me they they'd been having trouble with the shoes that they kept breaking (apparently not all of them...... a likely story) and that if you bought one pair for $40 they would give you another pair for free. So I got each pair for $20 with the risk that they may break. they probably will break but I'm such a sucker for a bargain....... I bought some amazing silver platforms for my grad show at Uni, and the same thing happened to me Priya I was walking THERE and the whole strap just snapped so I had to wear these broken shoes the WHOLE NIGHT and I was so so so annoyed. I got my money back though, and glad you did too! I will let you know when my new platforms break.. P.S I got a black pair too!! (GOD that was a boring 'flatform' ramble... sorry!!!) XOXOXOX Minna

  4. Christ! That is crazy. So it wasn't just me... I was convinced it was me and i walked in this horribly weird way because it was the second pair i broke (new) that week! They must have had a REALLY bad manufacturer or something. I'm still somewhat jealous that you got two for $40... just because despite their hopelessness they are fucking hot. I hope you get some wear out of them, or at least longer than 10 minutes. I saw your beautiful metallic silver platforms at your grad show. they were dreamy. If it is any consolation, at least i had to go on with my night in those harry wragg platforms and look relatively amazing at the flaming lips concert <3. Yay. xo

  5. I was googling Harry Wragg shoes and this thread came up! I got that sale... that was so awesome haha I got FOUR pairs for $80... I have four different colours ahah and none of mine had a problem :P I am a size 37!! My girlfriend got two pairs and she is a 40... one of her broke... but I think it was because she bigger around the ankle... I don't know, I thought it was because she kept dragging her feet... Anyway I have had no problems at all, I wear mine to Uni with socks now in Winter :p Woop :)
