How do you solve a problem like Maria?

I woke up at 3am this morning so logically I decided to put on the one and only Sound of Music to get me back to sleep. Turns out I got pretty involved and learned that it's impossible to fall asleep while the marvelous Julie Andrews is floating about on screen. So, as the sun rose upon my day the Von Trapp family had escaped the Nazis and were marching across the hills that were alive with the sound of music.

I was a little delirious and disillusioned as I got out of bed and almost felt like bursting into song and skipping (heaven forbid) so I ended up just channelling this energy into fashion inspiration. I've always wanted those curtain play clothes.

Sorry that was really intense. I feel new vibes coming on...
Oh, and just one last anecdote - when I was little I always thought that 'How do you solve a problem like Maria' was meaning - how would one approach solving a problem as Maria would. But, a recent revelation of mine is that Maria IS actually the problem needing solving. Wow.

  1. Those curtain clothes are actually the best thing ever. I don't know how many times I've seen this movie but I don't think too many is possible! What did you wear?

  2. Fab post!! Completely obsessed with the sound of music, even trekked to Austria for the set tour. Made me want to be a Nun when I was little. This has made me smile so much <33

  3. Oh I didn't take an outfit post! But I wore this smock thing with puffy sleeves.. If my hair was long enough I wanted to plait it like Greta! haha.

Wow I'd love to go on the set tour!!! That would be super fun. So jealous! XOXO
